Post your favorite performance
Magic in his 3 rounds vs Conceited. It's hands down his best performance, and one of the only battles I ever truly regretted not being present for. His whole first round is how you should ever start a battle.

Dope pick. Magic >>>>
Hard to pick just one, few that come to mind:
Bender vs 24/7 or Miracle. Benders cleanest performances IMO and the two where it felt like he had fully figured battling out.
Calicoe vs Surf. Peak Cal, bully surf and getting a convincing win in his own city. Some of the best mid round banter in a cal battle too. HM would go to cal vs roc.
Qleen vs Ars. Great battle all around but qleens best showing for me. Not that many battles where qleen fully meets his potential but this is one.
Loe Pesci vs Tantrum. Perfect battle from Loe’s end really
Loe Pesci/Bender vs Kid Twist/rich. Maybe the goat 2v2 performance tbh.

i have to go with soul vs. raptor personally. such a great combo of personal attacks and great bars all around, soul has so many great showings but this one stands out imo

Soul vs raptor is flames, soul has a few I could pick. Cee Majors another one.
Would have to throw an Oshea battle in too, maybe Tony D.

Not sure why anyone would have Soul Vs Raptor as a favourite. It is a great Soul, but I literally skip every Raptor round except the first one and Soul's first isn't that great either. As a battle rather than an individual performance it's kinda trash.
Cee Major Vs. Soul is a much better battle as it was an actual close back and forth.

Short and easy watch with countless quotables from Magic.
"He trying to win, jumping in the bag like a sack race"
"Don't let me find Eric in the middle of America"
"Ride around looking for em like a parking spot"
"Bullets come out of St. John like Ron Artest"
"Wet the side of St. John like the Caribbean Sea"

Bender vs Miracle is some of the single best writing clinics you'll ever see in battle rap. Bender was a poet.

That "Take your head off with the Sleepy Hollow" made me scream "WHAT!!" out loud. Magic really is the best when he's actually trying. It's a shame because I can't rate him as a Lux/Mook/Verb because he just didn't show up in so many battles. My God when he did though.

some great choices.
Calicoe v Surf is maybe only 2nd to v T-Rex IMHO
Magic, it's hard to pick one isn't it? v Chef Trez, Lynx Montana, Clips all come to mind
Verb v Hitman is my number one, so much underrated material, and just a clean and thorough breakdown. those first 2 rounds are especially slept on
Fresco v QP SONS comes to mind as well

you all know i love threads like these...
aye verb's performance vs hitman was the blueprint for breaking somebody down and "sonning" somebody.
loaded lux performance against hollow was a perfect theme and had 3 content-rich rounds which got increasingly better as they went on. lux cosplayed as a black panther.
cal's performance against roc was so impressive because he was the first battler to make Roc look average during a time when Roc was killing shit and was the face of URL. Roc was pretty flawless, but cal ran through him without breaking a sweat.
qleen's performance vs b magic was incredible because it was so original and was thought to be the beginning of a star being born. unfortunately qleen never became what we thought he might become.

The Okwerdz battle has not aged well at all. I saw it recently and other than Okwerdz being better than I remembered, very missable battle.
Good call on Rone vs. Charron though. An amazing example of tailoring your material to your opponent. As you're a UK fan, there should be at least one Cruger battle and Cruger bodying Charron was a goodun.

Cruger vs. Charron is definitely a solid choice

Bigg K vs Half Past 7
Cal vs Ill Will
Rex vs Hitman, G Souldier
Tiger Ty vs L Dot on both sides
Calcium Kid vs Eddie P
Ogmios vs QP
Shuffle T vs Heretic
Bender vs Saurus, Syd. I binged Bender recently and I swear dude probably only lost like twice.
Famous vs Cido on both sides
Bill vs M Ciddy
Kano vs Wiley
Paddy vs Ikue
There are so many GT classics I had on repeat in high school but my battle rap memory is fading.

What you know about turning your microwave to a crack lab
No bank account my life savings in a trash bag
Someone tell half past my shit ain’t half assed
That ruger from Baghdad it’ll like your muthafuckin whip up like a cash cab
His girl said can we shoot a DVD?
I said yeah if your head slamming like a DDT
Soon as you swing that knuckle Guerrero comin off the buckle like a frog splash
I battle on the side just to pay up bills
I usually got some beats playin while I break up crills
Thinking I got court in the morning but imma stay up still

Oshea vs Cojay
Probably not for others but I loved Ms hustle vs Gattas
B magic vs Ty Law on both sides
There was a Loe Pesci performance that I thought was great too but I can't remember if it was Vs Marv or Ness Lee, either or lol.

Pesci was flames against both of them tbh. But yeah marv was probably the better one. People only seem to remember the Jordan scheme from the ness battle though
Lookin like bun b with a bum knee
Travis, this is a guy I’m supposed to collab with
I’m supposed to turn around and say this guy is a faggot?
Y’all write your multisylabbics that take 60 days
I concentrate, this shit is minute made
They want me to dig up info on his whore and kids on some informant shit
I’m feelin old, new generation is horses piss
I’m out for capital, military coordinates
Punch a hole in his bakery gettin bread from a quarter brick
Now you living dead in a horror flick, rip his head with the 45th
Aim, infrared like the Jordan six
Bang, kickback like they linin up at the store to get
He’s so dark his nickname was aunt Vivian one

For Illmac my favourites are A Ward, Iron, Bender and Real Deal.

rone v okwerdz is one of the battles I've watched the most in the past couple years FR, aside from a light stumble in the third Rone absolutely eviscerated okwerdz, basically flawless first 2 rounds and okwerdz was 70% trash before choking terribly in the 3rd. it really holds up as a classic bodybag
rone v nils m/ skils is up there as well although the inverse since Nils made it debatable
illmac v real deal is underrated as well, good call

T Rex's round against Big T is one of the greatest 1 rounders of all time. Rex doesn't get enough credit outside of this forum tbh, it's sad.
Calicoe vs Verb... all 3 rounds are some of cal's best writing period imo.
Tone Montana's 1st against the dude from jersey... one of the greatest rounds of all time.

Bender has always been one of my top 5, I always struggled to pin down a favorite performance or battle though. I got burnt out on him v Illmac, ironically, same with v 24/7, those seem to be everyone's favorites
guy got stuck with a lot of underwhelming opponents in other battles and outshone them e.g. Syd Viscious & Arcane, plus other folks I'm personally not crazy about like Loe Pesci & Fredo.
I revisited this battle after skimming through this thread again and I think it is my favorite
He be tellin teeni boopers "I got my own apartment"..tryin to lure them to that grain silo near Dartmouth
non stop quality bars/ Mom - Pop's broccoli farm
when i bang out a sixteen the labratory shakes - when he bangs out a sixteen that's statutory rape
fightin back these psychopathic urges cause i don't let off steam I let off pyroclastic surges
the whole party stuffed that box twice each like a rigged election
that little fuck pocket, not even coal power has had that many trains run on it
how can you rap like mobsters when yr own mentor did a PSA for Crimestoppers?
I'm amazed at the fact that some MCs still respect you - when you got your head shaved like a maze on the back of a Denny's children's menu; Shit, even ya ma dukes got a slick fade like Sling Blade and I swear on the King James bible she's a spitting image of Ving Rhames
(Was this the first sorry player scheme?) with I'm Noriega crossed with Schwartzenegger; the orphan maker, orchestrate yr fate in the torture chamber; A force of nature - fire storm and warn the forest ranger
the bar about an Onyx t-shirt and asking if he likes Sticky Fingaz is probably the best shit in the whole battle though lmaooooo
& yr famous for doin crazy shit with yr mouth like Caleb Simmons
Anyways I always felt like Bender v Big T was hella slept on along w/ v Dirt and v Tumi
he was a genuine poet & had the inflection/pacing most of the time to make bars hit harder than most
it hurt losing Cadalack and Bender especially but I wanted to see Bender v B-Magic more than anything, v Rum Nitty and many others would've been harder than hell

Calicoe vs Verb... all 3 rounds are some of cal's best writing period imo.
Tone Montana's 1st against the dude from jersey... one of the greatest rounds of all time.
