RIP Alias (Scribble Jam rapper)

Just heard Alias from Scribble Jam era passed. He (edit: apparently did not) have some solid battles against Sage and Seez Mics. Also some decent music with Sole, Deep Puddle Dynamics and of course Divine Disappointment.

Is that right? I always thought they were the same guy as most of Anticon comes from Scribble Jam (The other members of Deep Puddle Dynamics all battled at Scribble, for example). Were there really two people called Alias at those events?

yep.. the Alias that battled Sage is a dude in a click called OVM (Original Vibe Monsters) and I believe he spells his name "Alius" ..and I think he's from Boston??. Alias of anticon never battled in scribble as far as I know... Dose One and Sole did

Really bummed about this..Alias was one of my favorite producers

Sad when people pass so young, 41 for a heart attack? that's a real bad given hand.

"The Other Side of the Looking Glass" from 2002 and the Deep Puddle Dynamics album that Alias, Sole and Slug did in 1999 were both two of the most left-field, abstract, experimental works of art I've had the privilege of listening to. Those guys really pushed boundaries into realms the founders of Hip Hop undoubtedly never envisaged. It's so shocking and sobering how every few months on average I read that a rapper I've spent years listening to passes away. RIP

There were at least 3 actually. DV Alias Khrist was another one. The Alias that passed, at least during that time, I believe was known more as a producer although he did do some rapping.
