SMACK and high-profile guests, seeing tumbleweeds recently?

to keep it short and simple

i've been watchin some older NOME & SM battles recently, and I wonder, since Smack's league has amassed a bigger following - why is it that we haven't seen folks like Jadakiss, P Diddy or Wyclef Jean co-hosting on his platform again?

Curious what anybody has to say on this

Maybe those co-hosting spots were just co-signs. And the reason for them was to help an up and coming platform. Now that SMACK has got the bag they don't need the public co-sign anymore. I'd bet those celebs still fuck with smack

makes enough sense what you say yeah

still, i would think havin them come on stage, etc. would be big each time - search 'Jadakiss' and well you eventually come upon Aye Verb vs Goodz, for example, maybe there are still Jadakiss fans who've never gotten into watching battles on YouTube, seems reasonable

I suppose there's a chance they're satisfied with where they're at, but it would seem they'd want to do as much as possible to expand their brand, more and more and more, not just like, alright we've had enough visible co-signs, we can run on the power of our Luxs and Clipses now

Can an argument be made that the Drake/ Caffeine co-sign is invisible?

Celebrities crowding around something when it's popping then leaving in droves as soon as it's not is nothing new.

Are you being sarcastic? Jumping on hot trends (while likely not noble) is common

it must sound sarcastic, but I'm dead serious

as to why, I don't know, I just can't picture a time that this happened, from my personal memory.

Maybe I'm just not in tune with celebrity - trend behaviors, probably a case of "play stupid games, win stupid prizes" - still I'd be interested if somebody could draw a simple parallel

Oh, I see. My bad, thought you were trolling.

Off the top of my head:
Skateboarding for sure comes and goes in popularity all the time.
UFC to some extent.
Breaking although again it is debatable how into it they really were.
Surfing to some extent.
WWE-style Wrestling (Hard to believe that guys like Trump, Burt Reynolds and Muhammad Ali all took part in it).
Countless genres and sub-genres of music.
Every dance ever.
etc.

yr the man to be honest

well i see what you're sayin now, but the only specific example was with WWE

not that I have, or will, ever watch that - I knew Donald Trump had been on it

I wonder though if he got up and acted passionate about it, the same way Jada and Wyclef Jean spoke about SMACK

is my point making more sense that way?
